About this exhibition

Will Pham is a British-Vietnamese artist working in video, live performance and socially engaged practice. His work explores intergenerational care, cultural inheritance, community building and refugee narratives within the UK. For his solo presentation at CFCCA, Pham has developed a new work which explores his interest in using archives and historical narratives as tools to address contemporary cultural and political issues. In this exhibition Pham presents a moving image installation that will investigate ongoing issues surrounding immigration, diaspora, acculturation and citizenship.

Often drawing upon archival materials, personal narratives and autobiographical form, Pham is interested in uncovering voices in diasporic communities and how histories can be reimagined. Pham was awarded the ‘Breathe’ residency from CFCCA to visit Taipei Artist Village in 2018.
