At certain points in the year we recruit volunteers to assist the Curatorial team with CFCCA’s exhibitions. This role might include researching forthcoming artists, general administrative support with preparing contracts, loan agreements etc., artist liaison, researching and compiling marketing and interpretation materials and assisting in the installation and decommissioning of exhibitions where required – for example unpacking and condition checking artwork.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to input ideas into the development of our artistic programme, which we plan up to 4 years in advance, and will support the Curatorial team in developing relationships with artists and contributors. They will also assist on the setting up and facilitating of programme-related events including preparing event spaces, invigilation or audience engagement tasks.

To help our Curatorial team we look for volunteers with a keen interest in Chinese contemporary art and who are passionate about developing their professional experience in curatorial and programming roles. Relevant studies in Curating, History of Art or Museum studies would be beneficial. You should be organised and proactive, and demonstrate a willingness to get involved with a variety of tasks.

We are currently recruiting for a volunteer to support the development of our next group exhibition from 10 December – 17 February 2019
You will need to be available for 2 days per week increasing to 3 during the first week of February to assist with development and implementation of our next group exhibition. Please note this period will include a break over the festive period when the CFCCA office closes.

Expressions of interest must be received by Friday 16 November 2018
