Taipei Artist Village Open Call

Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) are pleased to announce an open call opportunity for contemporary visual artists based in the UK to apply for a fully funded 3 month (up to 12 weeks) artist residency at the Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan.

Our artist in residence exchange partner Taipei Artist Village is conveniently located at the hub of Taipei’s business and government districts. The 1,650-square-meter site and 4-story building are in the heart of Taipei City.

The residency duration will be between 2-3 months and should take place between 07 October and 27 December 2019. The selected artist will have access to a studio/living space located in the Artist Village and will work with staff at the Artist Village to engage in the local community through workshops, talks and events.

The artist will receive economy return flights from UK to Taipei, materials expenses, and a daily per diem for living expenses. Administrative, curatorial and language support & translation is available from Taipei Artist Village staff.

This residency opportunity is open to emerging artists within 6 years of starting their career who have not taken part in a previous CFCCA artist in residence exchange, this opportunity is not open to students currently enrolled on a BA Degree course.

Artists should have an outward focused practice and be socially engaged, please carefully consider how living and working on this residency will be reflected in your research, project and practice.
